Regarding the water treatment cartridge, it acts as a water softener to ensure that your steam generator remains durable and improves its longevity.
Hard water causes limescale and mineral buildups that damage your appliances and cause them to break down sooner. Softening the water extends the lifespan and allows it to perform to its fullest potential.
It has a magnetic scale reducer that works by decreasing the bonding between calcium and magnesium molecules – the cause of limescale buildup. The magnetic scale reducers also encourage coagulation through the same process. If you live in a hard water area, it’s an absolute must and makes limescale much easier to remove and keep on top of.
