Seats & Headrests

If the drop-down seat has cracked, the back rest has worked loose on the tower, or a bath headrest has lost its grip, you’ll find the replacement here. None of them is universal: each is matched by its fixing holes, lugs or suction pads. Our padded seat replaces Insignia’s padded fold down seat, and our listings name Vidalux, Aquaplus and Aqualusso cabins. Count the holes the old one leaves behind, or send us a photo.

How to identify yours

  • Drop-down seat: count the fixing holes and measure their centres. Our padded seat comes as 3 hole (110mm centres) or 4 hole (125mm by 90mm). Our plastic seat takes 5 bolts: 115mm across, 70mm up, plus one in the centre.
  • Back rest: a push-fit rest clips onto ball lugs, a bolt-fit rest takes 4 chrome bolts at 150mm by 75mm. Both are about 350mm by 150mm.
  • Bath headrest: two suction pads on the back means the Bath Headrest or Style 3. Chrome supports either side means Style 2.

Symptoms and likely causes

Back rest loose or off the tower: check the lugs or bolts before the rest itself.

Seat cracked or split: replace it like for like on the same holes.

Bath headrest split or lost its padding: replace it with one that fixes the same way, suction pads or chrome supports.

Fitting tip

Keep the old fixings until the new part is on. Neither back rest comes with its bolts or lugs, and the Style 2 headrest goes back on the chrome supports already on the bath, as none come with it.

When to call a professional

Seats, rests and headrests are hand tool jobs. If a fixing has torn out of the tower, don’t open it up yourself: the tower carries the controls, so isolate the power and have an electrician open it.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the seat?

Both drop-down seats are a 300mm by 230mm oval, in dark grey.

How many lugs does a push-fit back rest need?

Four, one per fixing point. Our white back rest lugs come as a pair.

How big is each headrest?

The Bath Headrest is 360mm at its widest, Style 3 is 270mm, and Style 2 is 245mm.

Holes don’t match any of these? Send us a photo of the wall with a tape measure across the holes, and we’ll match the seat.
