How to check it suits your setup
- Your generator: most items here are built for Insignia’s AIO generators. The strip lights and large spotlights also work in other steam rooms.
- Steam outlet: the aromatherapy upgrade kit suits generators with a standard ½” steam outlet connection.
- Panel cable: the 5 metre extension cable adds 5 metres to the panel cable on our steam room kits, 8 metres in all.
- Ceiling speakers: our Bluetooth speakers need a 180mm hole.
Problems these can help with
Mould, or a room that stays damp, comes down to trapped moisture, and ventilation matters most. See mould inside a cabin.
Steam that smells stale usually means water left standing in the generator. See steam that smells bad.
No sound from the speakers is usually a volume, mode or pairing issue. See radio or Bluetooth not working.

Fitting tip
If the steam outlet hole in your wall or panel is wider than 15mm, add washers so the aromatherapy kit’s steam pod sits tight.
When to call a professional
Most of these connect to the generator’s controls or the mains. Isolate the power before fitting anything electrical, and have an electrician wire lights, fans and speakers into the supply.
Frequently asked questions
What does the water treatment cartridge do?
Our water treatment cartridge works as a softener, using a magnetic scale reducer to cut limescale. It has 1/2-inch BSP connections, needs no power and works from 2°C to 120°C.
How many lights can I add?
The Steam Room Lighting System comes in packs of 20 to 50 mini lights. The large LED spotlights come six to a set, up to 20.
What size is the glass door?
Our Insignia glass steam room door is 2000mm × 780mm in 6mm tempered glass, with a matt black edge.
